Fern is such a show stopper. Every time we use this mare we just are more and more impressed. She has been used for all phases of ranch work and has been a "go to" mare for reliably quiet trail rides with guests. She has been proven in chaotic situations including being asked to rope an unwanted coyote. (didn't get it roped but it was sure funny and she was 100% on board with trying!
She is sound and a great forward mover who goes barefoot even on the hard summer ground. She hops into the trailer with enthusiasm, takes her bath willingly, stands still for the farrier, bridles easily etc. etc. She is a horse that can be used for any kind of trails since she has been up and down the mountains all her life. She tolerates bikes, deer, coyotes!, dogs, cars, etc. We have taken her to team pennings, used her for cutting turnback help, there just isn't anything she has refused to do for us. She is beautiful to look at on top of all that! $3500
