Northern California Trail Horse came about
after years of seeing people go blindly into searching for a
good, safe trail horse. So many times we have to ride so
many horses, sifting through other peoples problems which
can be frustrating and even dangerous at times. And if you
unknowingly pick a problem horse it can be difficult to find
someone willing to take it off your hands. Owning a great
trail horse can open the door to so many great times so you
want to minimize the chances of getting a problem horse.
All of the horses found on Northern California Trail Horse
have been exposed to the unique distractions that we find on
the beautiful California trails; dogs, deer, bikes,
strollers, kids and more! We have taken these horses into a
variety of situations looking for temperament flaws that
would keep them from being the sound-minded partner you’re
looking for.
In addition these horses have been taken into group camping
situations, ridden through cattle, ridden with a variety of
horses and ridden alone to truly give as good a picture of
that solid temperament that we look for in a reliable trail
horse. Some of the horses are also experienced arena horses,
capable of multiple riding disciplines, but our number one
priority is the joy of trail riding!
